T is for Taylor Swift

T is for Taylor Swift

My #1 artist, her songs are a gift

Fearless is her first real debut

But after my first listen, there was no need to review

A loyal fan I’ve always been since the beginning

For my 8-year-old Halloween costume, T. Swift and I were twinning

Speak now came out in 2010

Every morning after that I woke up to “Begin Again”

And so Taylor became my alarm clock

My mom no longer needed to knock

Tay changed my life at my first concert ever

So when Midnight tickets drop I’ll be on high alert

Next came her album red

And when her genres began to spread

And then came 1989

And hot take those songs were just fine

Those songs just aren’t my fave

And never something I want to save

But then came Reputation

And thousands rejoined the Taylor  Swift nation

It’s angsty emo and a little edgy

I love to blast it when I’m getting ready

The perfect songs to blast during a breakdown

Then she’ll build you up and appoint you a crown

With this album came lots of conspiracy theories

Harry Styles and murder, some are quite eerie

Then something different she came out with a bang

Lover became Reputation’s ying to the yang

Lover is happy boppy and upbeat

With rhythm and lyrics that make you tap your feet

Having used up all her glam and glitter

The next album was a bit well bitter

First, she spit our folklore

And then came evermore

These make me want to bundle up

Pour some wine in my cup

Listening to her trauma and the aftermath

I want to hide and pout in a bubble bath

Next came the songs and she wanted them

The original Taylor versions were hidden gems

She’s always seven steps ahead

So fans interpret everything she’s ever said

The Midnight’s debut is her most devious yet

And she worked her fans up into a sweat

Night and day we tweet at her and beg

If she can explain where she’s hidden all these easter eggs

When she announced this album’s debut

I didn’t think it possible but my love for her grew
