S is for sister the proudest role I play
I’m thankful for this position each and every day
I was an only child until the age of three
Then out of the womb, my sister came and joined me
From the early days, Mom matched our bow and dress
I hated matching but we did nevertheless
Soccer, tennis, ballet, and cheer
Enrolled in the same activities year after year
And then when I turned six
We added a brother into the mix
Being the oldest of three is a very serious role
The commander of the fam, I love to take control
My siblings are an instant friend
And to the death, I will defend
The name calling the pranks, the constant jokes
I miss living with them my dogs and my folks
The kid’s group chat is the place to be
And where we share the REAL family tea
I love our weekly check-up facetime
They are the unwilling victims who proofread all these rhymes
Of all the family they are my favorite relations
They are the life of the party on family vacations
So at the kids table, I’d like a permanent seat
Without my siblings, I’d be incomplete
I’m so lucky they made me a big sis
If I didn’t write a blog about them, I’d sure be remiss
